Impersonal Verbs
Impersonal verbs are only conjugated in the third person. They have no person or thing as their subject.
Amanecer: To dawn
Amanecer is sometimes used as a personal verb. For example:
¿Cómo amaneciste?
How was your morning/dawn?
The Verb: Haber
The Impersonal verb haber (there is/there are) is also commonly used. In Spanish, hay (haber, conjugated as third person) is used as both singular and plural:
hay una persona
there is one person
hay muchas personas
there are many people
