Spanish Definite Articles
English has only one definite article, which is 'the'. Spanish has 4 definite articles:

Remember that Spanish Definite Article agrees in gender and number with the noun it precedes. For example:

el hombre

la mujer

los chicos

las chicas

the man

the woman

the boys

the girls




Spanish Indefinite Articles
English uses 'a, an, some' as indefinite articles. Spanish has un, una, uno, unas.

Remember that Spanish Indefinite Articles must agree in gender and number with the noun it precedes. For example:

Sometimes Spanish avoids using the indefinite articles in many places that English uses them. Generally with occupations, affiliation, before otro (other), after con (with) and sin (without) and sometimes after the verb, tener (to have)
